AVENGER INDUSTRIAL SLIP RESISTANT STANDARDS AND TEST RESULTS

According to OSHA, slips, trips and falls are the major cause of workplace accidents. Foremost in OSHA’s safety consideration requirements (Standard 29 CFR Part 1910, Subpart D) for all workplace walking and working surfaces is the wearing of skid resistant footwear with adequate tread on the soles.

While there are currently no government regulations creating standards for slip resistance in an industrial work setting, industry sources often state that a minimum slip resistance value of 0.25 qualifies as Industrial Slip Resistant on dry or wet surfaces and U.S. Footwear sources cite this value as a good safety margin for use in industrial settings.

All Avenger Safety Footwear products are tested by an independent testing laboratory on the Mark II Machine using red quarry tile for the test surface and greatly exceed those standards.
